Twerkcality
TWERKCALITY is a movement workshop that focuses on the intricate musicality of twerking. Throughout the class we will practice syncing our movements with different rhythms, beats, and musical patterns, working on isolations, while also exploring the art of the booty+body connection. We will root into understanding how to feel your twerk when it comes to different musical styles and polyrhythmic music. By the end of the workshop, we should have a symphony of bootys and it will be exquisite! 🎻🍑🎶
Whether you’re a beginner or advanced booty romper, this workshop will help you tap in & develop a deeper connection between music, movement, & your body, all while elevating your twerk flow & bootivity (booty creativity, of course).
Shoes👟: We recommend wearing comfortable sneakers or going bare foot
Attire👚: We recommend you wear something loose on the bottom that your butt and thighs can jiggle in. (aka - avoid leggings) Also bring kneepads if you have them!

Take your shuffling to the next level with our ⚡️Find Your Flow: A Freestyle Shuffling Dance Experience⚡️ workshop! This 2-hour session is designed for dancers who already know the basics of shuffling and want to build confidence in their freestyles.
Here’s what to expect:
👟First 30 Minutes: Warm up and drill fundamental moves like the Running Man, T-Step, and their variations to refine your foundation.
👟Second 30 Minutes: Explore new combos and fun moves that will seamlessly blend into your freestyle. Practice integrating these into your flow in a quick freestyle session and then we’ll take a short break.
👟Third 30 Minutes: Partner up for interactive exercises like mirroring, word play, and mini battles to level up your freestyles and upper body movement.
👟Final 30 Minutes: Let loose in a freestyle dance party! This is your time to experiment, practice what you’ve learned, and celebrate your growth on the dance floor.
Whether you’re looking to improve your flow, try new challenges, or just have fun with other shufflers, this workshop is for you.
🚨Requirements: Participants must already know shuffle fundamentals. If you’re new to shuffling, we recommend taking at least 3 Intro to Shuffling classes first. Intro to Shuffling is on Saturday mornings at Passion!
FYI: The best shoes for shuffling are sneakers that are lightweight, have smooth bottoms, and have shock absorption.

Beltane Tea Ceremony
☀️ If weather permits, this Tea Ceremony will be held outside at Tricia's House in Beacon NY. The address will be shared with you once you register. Tricia's house is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk from Passion. ☀️
Join Emily Barry, Priestess of the River Valley in the Avalon tradition & Sistar of the Stars, for a guided tea ceremony where we will intentionally drink and connect with our tea. 🫖 This way of drinking tea has roots in the Taiwanese tradition. Emily serves tea from old growth tea forests 🌳, meaning the tea has long standing connections to the land and the tea farmers.
May 1st marks the start of Beltane season. In Celtic Spirituality, this season is held by the Lover Goddess 💗 known as Rhiannon. During this season, we are asked to connect and open our hearts to the love within us and surrounding us. This ceremony will allow you to connect deeply to your heart, connect to the energies of the Lover Goddess, and allow you to move forward with love, compassion, grace, presence, clarity, and intention as we allow our hearts to open more deeply to love.
Please bring a journal 📓 and pen/pencil 🖋or any other coloring tools you may feel inspired to write with.

PleaseME is a workshop that focuses on harnessing safe, foundational, low-flow movements in Pleaser shoes, while encouraging growth with a couple fun floor tricks, a simple choreo, as well as time for play, self-expression, & vulnerability in an accepting & expansive environment.
💛 PleaseME is an all-levels workshop. No prior experience is required. Dancer are *HIGHLY* encouraged to wear knee pads & bring Pleaser shoes. If you don’t have a pair of pleasers, bring any heel or shoe that you feel empowered dancing in. Much like the footwear, wear something that makes you feel a type of way about yourself… sessy, empowered, majestic, beautiful… Whatever that means to you. Feel free to push the envelope & have fun with this moment! Why not?!
