CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

    BOLD & BREEZY BALLET

    Strengthen your artistry along with your body in this joyful ballet class. We'll deliciously bend, gently lengthen, and cultivate focus as we pour today's energy into the steps and patterns of ballet. You can expect a lovely workout at the barre and celebratory movement around and across the room, with plenty of space for personal expression alongside traditional technique.

    Class level is appropriate for anyone with basic dance experience. Absolute beginners to ballet are welcome although it is recommended to contact the instructor ahead of time for more information about what to expect.

    What To Wear: Ballet slippers are recommended for all dancers, but not required. If you don't have ballet slippers bring socks or go barefoot.

    BORN TO BOOGIE

    Born to Boogie is a fun, high-energy, dance fitness class designed for parents and caregivers! Whether you're a new mom, dad, caregiver, or a seasoned pro, this class is for you. Wear your baby in a comfy carrier as you groove to lively music, combining dance routines, light cardio, and gentle stretches that help you reconnect with your body while bonding with your little one. You'll get a great workout, meet other parents, and enjoy a judgment-free environment where everyone can feel supported.

    No prior dance experience is necessary—just bring your baby, your energy, and your love for dancing!

    BRAZILIAN FUNK

    Brazilian funk is a popular street movement that originated in Rio de Janeiro back in the 1980's. Meshing styles of samba, funk, hiphop, latin movement, twerk, afro-indigenous movement, & more, the dance form has evolved & gained popular attraction worldwide. This is an all level, all gender kind-of-class, that will get your whole body moving in the most joyful kind-of-way! Get ready to sweat & immerse yourself into this Brazilian movement, steeped in perseverance & radical joy!

    What To Wear: Barefoot or sneakers are welcome and wear something that you feel comfy getting funky in!

    CONTEMPORARY FEELS

    In this class, we will explore movement in connection to storytelling, emotion, and breath. We will start with breathing exercises, a juicy warm-up, and then head into a combo with moves inspired by the music and lyrics of the song. In some classes, we may experiment with guided improvisation and across the floor. Dance and movement can be one of the most powerful emotional outlets there is, so we’ll release the day away and tap into our personal power with Contemporary Feels!

    Prior dance experience is recommended, even if it’s been years since you’ve taken a class.

    What To Wear: We recommend wearing no shoes (barefoot or socks).

    EMOTE

    Get ready to emote, connect, and dance your heart out with other kind-hearted souls.

    FEELIN' MYSELF

    Are you ready to tap into your fine-self and let it out?! ‘Feelin’ Myself’ is a dance class based on empowering and celebrating that beautiful body of yours! Take this time to play with yourself, and build self–love through strong, sensual, movements. This is a judgment-free space where we will explore and crush taboos associated with touching ourselves, and embracing and embodying our sensuality. In this class you can expect some floor work, twerk, jazz, latin movement, undulations, and of course, feelin' yourself (literally and metaphorically).

    Prior dance experience is recommended, even if it’s been years since you’ve taken a class.

    What To Wear: We recommend wearing no shoes (barefoot or socks) for this class and bringing kneepads for all the yummy floor work.

    HEELS 101

    Bring your high heels of any height and let’s get sexy! In this class we’ll be doing moves that are sensual, flirty and fun. No prior dance experience needed, just a desire to feel hot and strut in a pair of heels. Open to all ages 18+. Even if you’re not a beginner you’ll enjoy the spice this class has to offer.

    We do the same combo 2 weeks in a row so that you can really nail the choreography and build confidence within the moves.

    What To Wear: Heels you feel secure in so think straps, laces, something around your ankle, the chunkier the heel - the easier it is to balance! Comfortable clothes that make you feel good!

    HIGH HEELS

    For those of you that have been dancing through life and can’t get enough of that performance feeling. In this HIGH HEELS class you will, of course wear your high heels, and act like you’re in a burlesque meets backup dancer performance group. This is a space of zero judgment where you get to be your sexy, sassy, fabulous self and really drop into your sensuality and sexuality. Prior dance experience is recommend (even if it was 10 years ago).

    We’ll learn the same combo 2 weeks in a row so that by week two you can focus on all the feels after the choreography has had a chance to sink in.

    What To Wear: Heels you feel secure in so think straps, laces, something around your ankle, the chunkier the heel - the easier it is to balance! Comfortable clothes that make you feel good!

    HIP HOP 101

    Are 90’s dance moves your absolute jam? Can you also not help but dance when a good song comes on the radio? Come to Hip Hop 101, where you can channel your inner Bruno Mars and let loose! In this class, we’ll be diving into all the eclectic goodness the world of hip hop has to offer. From grooving, bopping, bumping, and shaking, this class is perfect for beginner dancers looking to have a fun time to great music. Open to all ages 18+, with no prior dance experience required.

    We do the same combo 2 weeks in a row, allowing you to become comfortable with the choreography, and gain confidence not only with the movement, but within yourself!

    INTERMEDIATE HIP HOP

    Intermediate Hip Hop is for all the dancers out there that are looking for a fun, supportive, and safe space to let loose and keep up their love of dancing!

    This class will start with a warm-up followed by a hip-hop combo that will focus on groove, rhythm, and hitting those beats! You will leave feeling like you are one of Beyonce’s back-up dancers or like you could head straight into a Janet Jackson music video.

    We will work on the same combo two weeks in a row, so that you will feel confident and ready to leave it all out on the dance floor!

    Prior dance experience is required.

    JAZZ FUSION

    Jazz Fusion is a class where you can deepen your knowledge of different dance genres as we mix styles such as Jazz, Feminine Vibe, Contemporary, and Lyrical. The class starts with a juicy warmup for core strength, body awareness, flexibility, and exercises to build/maintain jazz technique. This class is for anyone that wants to have a good time, build confidence in dance, and likes a challenge.

    We will do the same choreography 2 weeks in a row so that you can let the steps sink in and build confidence within the moves.

    What To Wear: Comfortable clothing/gym wear and sneakers.

    SAMBA MOVEMENT

    Get ready to move your body and sweat it out as we delve into Samba Movement. This fun and informative class focuses on Brazilian samba, and the many variations that encompass the vibrant country! Think lots of hip rolls, hip shaking, and hip circles, and some fun and easy footwork. Leave your inhibitions at the door & come shake it out!

    What To Wear: Wear anything you feel comfortable shaking your hips and moving your body in. Usually done barefoot or in socks.

    INTRO TO SHUFFLING

    Ready to RAVE? Start here! Learn the fundamental moves of shuffling and variations that are the foundation of this dance style, while working on your precision and speed. This class will generally be the same each week, serving as a prerequisite to Shuffle N’ Flow. Come as many times as you need before taking yourself to the next level. It can also just be a good cardio workout!

    What To Wear: This is a high impact workout. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes or inserts with shock absorbency and smooth soles (not so grippy).

    SHUFFLE N' FLOW

    Learn to shuffle along with some other fun dance styles based on fast footwork to electronic and pop music. This is a style of dance that you may have seen at a club, festival, or all over social media. The class is designed for beginner/intermediate shufflers to practice the fundamental moves of shuffle and pick up fun new combos through choreography. Since shuffling is known for freestyle, we’ll also learn variations and tips for you to find your own shuffle flow!

    Prerequisite: Intro To Shuffling (must know and be fluent in shuffling fundamentals)

    We do the same choreography 2 weeks in a row allowing you to build muscle memory and confidence.

    What To Wear: This is a high impact workout. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes or inserts with shock absorbency and smooth soles (not so grippy).

    SPIRIT DANCE

    Spirit Dance is a class that is derived from the teachings of The Nia Technique. It encompasses easy to follow choreography, dance, and martial arts for a low impact aerobics workout to World Music. Spirit Dance is based on the pleasure principle; if a move feels good in the body, it's encouraged. The moves can be adjusted for almost any level of body fitness.

    Through movement we find health.

    What To Wear: Spirit Dance is typically done in loose clothing with bare feet. We also recommend bringing a yoga mat for the end of class stretch, although it's not required.

    INTRO TO TECHNIQUE

    Intro to Technique is designed to enhance your dance foundation through a blend of barre work, center exercises, across-the-floor combinations, and stretching. Focusing on form, each session will help you strengthen your body, improve flexibility, and refine your body knowledge of dance. This is a no-choreo class. This class is structured to foster a deeper connection between your body and brain, increasing your awareness and communication with your movements. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, this class is a perfect opportunity to develop/train technical skills and elevate your overall performance.

    TWERK IT OUT

    Learn to shake your booty like you never have before. If you’ve been dreaming of twerking in the club or twerking in your bedroom then this class is for you. Guaranteed to laugh and have a good ASS time! Open to all ages 18+ and no prior twerk experience necessary. I can teach you, I can love you, because you’ve got it going on.

    We do the same combo 2 weeks in a row so that that booty starts to create some muscle memory for all the different types of twerks.

    What To Wear: We recommend you wear something loose on the bottom that your butt and thighs can jiggle in. (aka - avoid leggings)

    ZUMBA GLOW

    Zumba Glow features Latin rhythms set to high-energy pop music and international beats. Before you know it, you’ll be getting fit and will feel your energy levels soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Glow. It’s easy to do, effective, and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students. This is a medium-paced, follow-along class with basic sequencing, suitable for all levels.

    What To Wear: Any type of sneaker is best for this class and clothing that you can move and sweat in!
