Are you an intermediate (or *almost* intermediate) dancer hungry to sharpen your skills?

👯‍♀️ This course is presented as an opportunity to dig deeper into the more technical and complex elements of the craft. The aim of each session is to get us stronger, tackling things we've always wanted to try, or used to be able to do and want to reach for again: think pirouettes, jumps, leaps, successive turns, complex footwork and high-intensity choreography.

No partner needed! This course is designed for dancers to sign up as singles. Pairs are welcome with the understanding that we'll be rotating partners regularly -- the more people we dance with, the more fun it is!

💪 Sessions will use ballet barre-work as a jumping off point to bring specificity and discipline into the warm-up.

🩰 From there we'll explore the skills listed above both in a classical context and in more contemporary settings (get ready to share your playlists to fire up our drills!). Conditioning exercises will be introduced and a personal-maintenance program will be recommended for each dancer in order to keep progress moving throughout the week. Choreography will be offered periodically to put our skills into context. Ultimately the goal of the course is to push our limits, advancing toward dancing that is more precise, controlled, powerful, and expressive through a greater mastery of not-attainable-on-the-first-day skills.
